The 12 Kits of Occasions

Hello dear crafty friends.
Today I'm so excited to be joining The 12 Kits of Occasions blog hop as the guest designer of Jeanne Jachna! These talented ladies receive the same kit of supplies featuring a specific theme each month to create their projects. Jeanne sent us a fabulous kit with a crafty theme, so fun to discover all the goodies inside! I've loved brain-storming my designs.

As soon as I saw this sentiment I knew I had to use it. I love you more than SEQUINS?  Oh, that's saying a lot! Couldn't resist pairing it with the hearts patterned paper and the wooden stamp.

I added a strip of red felt to make the hand stamp look even more real.
Next up, these cute critters with their paper, glue, paint, scissors and "crafty wishes."

I colored them with Copics and added a pale wash of blue behind the sentiment to help it stand out.

The sweet Pure Innocence girl is feeling just a tad snarky today. Maybe it's because her paint spatters got out of hand.

For some people, pulling out the glitter really is a threat! Another sentiment that just made me giggle. AND... I pulled out the Nuvo glitter for the next card!

These tiny mice have their hands full and bring a good message.
My last card is super simple and was quick to make by swiping ink cubes in rainbow colors direct to paper. The sentiment is my last bit of advice for you, and the motto of my week.

I sure hope you've enjoyed my projects today. I know you will be inspired as you hop to the other blogs. I can't wait to see what others have made! I've had so much fun and want to say a big thank you to Jeanne and the team. Thank you for your visit!

HAPPY Mail

Hello friends, it's Friday! Sending out some happy mail today made me smile and I feel sure the recipients will be glad to get good mail in their box. I loved playing with the postal theme this month so I pulled out this oldie and goodie and went to work.

A bit of Copic coloring and die cutting and now I have a card that can be for any occasion or just for encouragement. I was inspired to play along at CAS(E) this Sketch. I think the lines are clean and simple enough even though I have a few layers.

Also entering the Retro Rubber Anything Goes Challenge.
Thanks so much for coming by today. I hope your day is wonderful!

A Watered Garden

It's Wednesday and I'm posting late so I'll keep it short. I managed a bit of crafty time today and made something just because I felt like combining things that I love.Bits and pieces happened to be sitting on my work table!

Today's card is a simple layout featuring the Halfsies die from The Greetery  and some images I stamped last week when I was on a little vacay. I haven't used ribbon in ages, but this card just needed some softness.
I love the Scripture about the watered garden. Since it's still kind of rainy, it's a perfect stamp for today.
Thanks so much for coming by!

Foxy Friend

Just a quick card today!
I couldn't resist the fun sketch at The Paper Players this week. Pulling out the Foxy Friends and Floral Border dies from WPlus 9 I assembled this clean and simple card for my stash.

I can't say it's my favorite card but you know, that's OK. The great thing about challenges is that they get you stamping! I love the sketch and I'm especially glad to have put these long-time-in-my-stash items to good use today.
Also inspired by the photo at The Card Concept this week I included elements of the circles, wood grain and greenery in my project.

See you next week!

With Love Tucked Inside

It's Friday and I've been MIA for a whole week. Had a lovely short getaway and came home just in time for snow here in NC. Sadly, the freeze comes weeks after spring - the daffodils, cherry trees and forsythia were all blooming three weeks ago.

I have a few blooms to share on today's card in my favorite spring colors. Still loving the items from the Love Letters collection so much that I went back to order the Signed and Sealed with a Kiss stamps and dies. Those lilies and greenery fan out perfectly inside the envelope.

I jumped into the challenge at Tic Tac Toe and chose the middle row to use twine, a heart and sentiment.

I can see myself using these sentiments for many occasions depending on the sentiment inside the card. I've listed the supplies below.

I'm off to enjoy the sunshine and snow outside my window. I have some other things on my to-do list for today, but for now I am blissfully postponing them. When the jobs are done, I will have a bit of craft time. Thank you for spending some time with me today. Stay warm and well.

Elegant Birthday

It's today! Happy Valentine's day to you! I've enjoyed sending more cards out than usual this week.  It's time to make just one more.
Today's card is for a special birthday using a really pretty color combo and supplies from The Greetery

I don't often use gray, but I love the soft gray with lavender. I embossed the gray panel in white and lightly stamped the script image on the white panel.

I was inspired today by The Color Throwdown and CAS(E) this Sketch.   Also playing at Seize the Birthday which encourages use of white space this week.

Thanks so much for you visit today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend shaping up for you.

XO XO XO Spellbinders Dies

I have one more Valentine to share with you today! When I saw the contents in the Truckin' Through the Seasons Large Die kit from Spellbinders, I knew I would use it for many of the cards I send. I also couldn't resist the companion dies that contain additional greetings for the license plate.

Putting this together for a Valentine wish was a blast!
Isn't this fun? I even used silver foil to die cut the mirrors.

The papers are from Honeybee stamps (back to Basics). I used the Sketch from Mojo Monday

the colors from The Paper Players

and the theme (hearts) fits with these challenges:

Shopping Our Stash (this one is new to me) and Fusion. Also, Papercrafters Challenge to use two paper patterns on your project.

Next time I think I'll use less layers so the truck stands out more. This card did get a bit busy!
I am so glad that you could visit today. Sending love and hugs your way.

Thinking of you Always

Hello and happy Monday, friends!
I don't know if I've ever mentioned that Monday is my favorite day of the week. Now that my husband and I are both retired, it hardly makes sense. But there is something about Monday being the day when things go back to whatever normal is after the weekend, that I still like!

It's an especially nice Monday when I have a card to share. I really like this one! Navy and pink is one of my favorite color combos.

My challenges certainly inspired this card, a CAS(E) this Sketch

and Color Throwdown entry.

Using stamps that although they have been around a long while they've seen little ink made this especially fun. Supplies are listed below.

I am wishing you every good thing for your Monday and every day. Thanks for visiting!

Puppy Love Valentine

Hello, stamping friends! I'm jumping in with a Valentine to share with you today using my new set from Honeybee stamps called Puppy Love. I really look forward to using the cute pups in this stamp set for a variety of occasions.

After photographing the card, I decided it needed a bit more interest so I added the stamped doggy bones. On the inside it will say, "You're doggone pawsome!"

I'm playing along with a couple of challenges today.
My layout is from Freshly Made Sketches,

the theme is Love at The Paper Players and CASology and the inspiration at The Card Concept. I chose a clean and simple style for my design.

I'm so glad you've come by! Hope you have a great day!

A Feminine Birthday

Hello, how are you today? I've been doing a few needed organizing tasks and getting outside to enjoy the warmer weather. Stamping had to take a backseat.

I do have one card to share made with the Lovely Day papers from Mintay by Karola. I chose these pretty feminine patterns, die cut and layered them together. They've been on my desk for weeks ready to be the basis for my collage.

I used sponge daubers to lightly ink the frame on the small note, stamping the tiny rose outline image in the corners. I stamped  the script and the postal elements directly onto the pale yellow paper.

For embellishments I added die cut images: a stamp, the rose, inked leaves and a cut out from the DSP to add dimension. Sequins give a bit of sparkle!

I took the photo after I wrote the message inside for a belated birthday wish. This one will be in the mail tomorrow!

Thanks for your visit today!
