Sarcoidosis Awareness

I am hesitant to make a big deal of this, but many of you have asked, so here goes.
Over the years of blogging there have been mentions of a chronic illness that I have. In the interest of education, I will tell you that I have neuro sarcoidosis. Never heard of it? That's not surprising as it is a rare disease.
Thankfully, I have not had severe or rapid progression of the disease although I have been told it has been present in my lungs and brain. At times of flares, I have difficulty walking, or am unable to walk without help; brain fog, and extreme fatigue. One of the most difficult problems associated with chronic illness is that I often look and sound "just fine" in spite of my disability. However, I don't drive because I never know when my legs will give out. The hardest part is the uncertainty of how I will be on a given day or a specific hour.
With all this said, I am not my disease. And I never walk alone. God is with me every step of the way! I am blessed with supportive family and friends and a giving, understanding, kind and patient husband.
