Wild Blossoms

It's a chilly morning and I'm heading out to the farm, but I thought I'd pop in with some spring blossoms to brighten your day!

I found the Wild Blossom Corner dies (Sissix) drastically reduced at my local craft store. So they found their way into my Christmas stocking. Don't you have to love that?

They're thinlets that are designed as a bouquet that is all one layer, but individual flowers and leaf dies are included, so I did double a few of the blooms. I colored them with Zigs markers and a white gel pen.

The grid at Tic Tac Toe challenges lists white, flowers and pearls which inspired my design.

Also playing at Time Out Challenges, SSS Wednesday Challenge: Fabulous Flowers, and  NBUS

Thank you for coming by, I love it when you do, and I always hope you leave inspired.

The love die is from SSS, paper is from Doodlebugs.

Under His Wings

This beautiful cardinal has been layered and assembled on my desk for quite some time. Today is a perfect time to feature him on this card inspired by Jaydee's CAS theme challenge at The Paper Players.

Three different colors of red card stock provided the body layers. I added shading details with colored pencils.  Using white card stock for the bird's head and beak, also the greenery, I colored with Copic markers after cutting.

The white strip was embossed for added texture. The sentiment is one that I just love! The set contains several Scriptures that pertain to birds, they are truly encouraging. Creating a mini slim card that measures 3.5" x 6" gave me a bit more playing room.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Colorful Stitched Prints

Hello friends, happy Thursday! Crafting time has been scarce but today I was intrigued by colorful papers and and the Patchwork Die from The Greetery.

I thought these colors from the challenge at The Paper Players were so pretty that I just had to create with them! The Tea Boutique paper pack (SU) was the surest way for me to find the correct shades. I love the warm country look of the prints and the almost quilt-like effect with the die and stitched squares.
The heart die was cut and used at an angle on the card front. It sure was hard to get accurate colors in my photo. Here is what the colors are supposed to look like!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great weekend.

Mixing it Up for Color Hues #56

Our Color Hues challenge #56 is here! Sheri has chosen Pink and Red for us and to me that's all about Valentines's! I had fun mixing up products to create my card.

Combining the Bicycle Builder dies from Honey Bee with elements from the Spellbinders Parcel Post Heart Decorations I came up with this card for my dear one.

I just love the LOVE letters and cut them using silver Glitter paper. They are only glued at the bottom so they hang jauntily over the basket and hearts.

Papers from my stash supplied the heart theme. The sentiment is embossed in white on black card stock. It's retired (SU).

My neutrals and white black and silver. We can't wait to see what you will make for this challenge!

I appreciate your visit, hope it's a great day for you.

I'm adding this to the challenge at TicTacToe where I chose the center row: hearts, free, red.

Stretch Your Stamps Birthday Blooms

It's me again! This time I'm inspired with the sentiments from the Birthday Blooms set (The Greetery) and I've stretched my stamps to create two cards for you today!

For the first, I used a panel of white card stock that I had prepared with gold foiled circles. Having this pre-prepped made the rest of the card easy.

I think a wishing on a star theme is unique for a winter birthday. I die cut the star of white card stock 6 times for added dimension. Gluing those together to form one star, I adhered it to a kraft base. I corrugated the kraft card stock with the paper crimper, again, to add interest and dimension.

The greenery and bow were achieved using sponges to color with DOX inks, gold glitter paper, and Glossy Accents to make the berries shine.

The second card combines the same elements - the star decorated with greenery, the textured kraft card stock, the sentiment and gold accents.

This time I changed the layout to a vertical card, and added a tag and a smidgeon of plaid  paper. The top layer of the large star is cut of Shimmery White card stock (Stampin' Up!) which has a pearly shine.
The elements of my Clean and Simple Multi Media card were totally inspired by the challenge at The Card Concept, specifically the colors, greenery and stars.
I hope you've been inspired today to find different ways to use your stamps. I was delighted to make two cards for winter birthdays that are a bit outside the box for me.

I will add the second card to The Paper Players challenge this week.

Thanks for visiting!

Love Flurries

Hello , I have a wintry scene for you today using old and new items, just for fun! I enjoy pulling out this PI girl in winter as I love her sweet expressions and the sentiments. I used a new-to-me stencil and sponged DOX inks to make the background.

Two of the stencils are for small and larger snowflakes. I filled them with white paste for added interest and texture.
My friend Leslie at Running with Scissors always colors images with mastery (if you visit her blog you'll realize words are inadequate to describe her talent!) and she's been using Tombow markers, so I got mine out to give them a try on the girl.  It's been a while but I liked the ease of using them. Then I fussy cut her out, adding the die cut trees and purple hearts.

That's all from me today, I hope it's going well for you! We have had beautiful sunshine and warm-ish temps so the snow is only in my imagination, lol!

I will be posting this at NBUS and Time Out Challenges

Happy Birthday Blooms

Hello crafters, how is your weekend going? Mine has been low key but I'm puttering away at some needed household chores. Sometimes the strangest things happen when I'm cleaning off my craft table. A card emerges from the bits of paper that I'm supposed to be putting away.

I've had the sketch from Freshly Made in my mind all week, and it's been simmering on the back burner. Today the inspiration and scraps of paper came together.

The stamps and dies are from the Greetery, Birthday Blooms. I've been stamping extra die cuts and storing them in the envie with the stamps, so these were ready to go! I combined them with papers from Echo Park for a clean and simple birthday card. The little twine bow seemed to be the only embellishment needed.

The circles in the sketch are so versatile! You'd be amazed at the many ways the DT used them! Check it out HERE

Wishing you a wonderful day. Thanks for visiting!
