Good Things Take Time

Good things do take time.  The arrival of spring, the growth of a flower, the struggle of an emerging butterfly, a sunset after rain. It's a new challenge at Color Hues #62 and I chose Purple and Green for our projects this fortnight. Even though Easter is over, there are lots of ways to use these shades.

I had summery vibes in mind and so out came the butterflies!

Choosing two patterns of paper from Waffle Flower, I used the pale green dotted piece as a background, and the purple inside the butterflies. The beautiful layering dies are by Bibi Cameron for Spellbinders, as are the sentiment and border panel.

As always, you'll find wonderful inspiration at the Color Hues blog, and we hope to see what you make as you play along.

Thanks for joining me today!

The choice of mint and the lavender is perfect for a fresh spring card Cindy. I'm afraid the sun is well and truly hiding as I type, so much for the forecast of overcast but warm, dreek and dull more like. :)

Cindy, This lovely card really caught my attention in the line-up. I love that you went with mint for your shade of green. As Michele said, your flutterbies as we call them too are so pretty. Have a great day!

Your dotted mint background, paired with the border die, is a lovely stage for your beautiful butterflies and blossoms. Such a pretty, pretty card!

We woke up to snow here in Michigan this morning (and it was just 80 degrees 2 days ago!), so your beautiful Spring card totally made me smile Cindy! I'm loving all the details you've added to this sweet card including the dsp, the butterflies, the flowers, the die cut trellis looking piece, and of course the wonderful sentiment! Lovely, lovely card my friend and thank you for such a beautiful color combination to work with...I loved it!! Hugs. :0)

I just love your choice of colors this round. I've never seen those butterflies or the die cut border--both are gorgeous and they add up to one really beautiful card with your choice of papers and design!

There are so many shades of purple and green and you chose two lovely ones to work with! The green with the decorative lattice border and those sweet flowers provide a perfect garden setting for your beautiful butterflies. Spring is taking it's time here.

It makes me happy to see so many purple and green cards in the color hues challenge this week, and your card is just wonderful!! I love the dark color of the butterflies with the subtle color of the flowers and soft green background. That border looks amazing too. What a gorgeous card with a thought-provoking sentiment too! Just beautiful!

I was so happy when I saw your color choices for this challenge, they always make a great combo for spring, and your delightful card certainly epitomizes that! I have those butterflies, so thanks for the reminder as to how very pretty they are, especially flying over the dainty flowers! So lovely, Cindy!
