Three for One: Season of Chic from Stampin' Up!

Oh, I can hardly believe that June is almost over, can you? June is my birthday month, and our dear new little grand made her entrance to the world last weekend! What a delight and such a happy time! God in His goodness helped me get better (even though vaxxed I had a rough stint with COVID)  just in time for my husband and I to help with the older children. You can bet I'm still smiling!

I really enjoyed being able to focus on one stamp set last week, and you seemed to like it too! Three cards coming up this week using the Season of Chic stamps and dies from Stampin' Up! If you missed it, you can find my first card made with it HERE

My second card is a clean and elegant thank you.

I began by embossing white card stock with the Seashells 3D embossing folder. I love the clean texture this gives! Using the die that looks like a grid, I cut that out of the embossed piece for even more texture. The shell on the left was die cut directly from the patterned paper, it was a perfect fit! The pink shell was die cut from the pink/gold paper and I stamped it to add the shell detail.

Every once in awhile this happens - I was positively thrilled with how this turned out!

Thanks so much for popping in! I've loved having you visit.

Framing Summer Citrus

Do you love lemons? In your tea, in water, in a pretty bowl on your table? I do!
I bought the Summer Citrus set when it first came out last year. I googled lemon illustrations and although I found amazing ideas, I never got around to using them. You could say the card with this set and color combo has been steeping on the back burner of my mind for a year.

Turns out I really like how it turned out. I call it SWEET when that happens!

I've been focusing on appreciating and using what I have. The result?  I've never had more fun creating projects.
Achieving the right mix of Hero Arts inks was important for the lemons to look real and bright enough. I stamped each image repeatedly to add more color and detail.

I took a second photo in better light today so you can see the tone on tone background stamped on the Night of Navy card stock. Thanks for your visit!

Papertrey Tuesday - Transformation

I am so happy that it's a new week. June is my very favorite month of the year! The weather outside is so delightful but I still found a bit of time to stamp.
I decided to take part in the Transformation Tuesday challenge, and it ends soon so I'm posting early.

This is the card I made for the May Blog Hop. I liked it alot but I did wonder how it would look with more of a springy green.

Here's the remake using Limeade Ice card stock. The colors of the flowers are exactly the same.

I slightly changed the placement of the elements and kept the sentiment clean and uncluttered. This shade of green didn't photograph well, it's paler IRL.

By experimenting, we learn. I learned that I like the clean lines of the second card, but still like the first one best.

Have a great day!
