Hello there! If you've been visiting my blog for awhile you may know that I love the work of Dawn Woleslagle at WPlus9. She's my favorite artist and the best teacher! I love that her goal is to show us how to use the supplies she creates in multiple ways to stretch not only our stamps but our creativity!
Inspired by her release of a wonderful new stamp set called Just Breathe, I'm giving no fail watercolor a try.
I think the inks used were Wild Honey, Worn Lipstick and Rustic Wilderness. I was in high creative mode and made three cards in one sitting.
Creating the background panel with inks, I added a length of canvas ribbon.
For the second card, I changed the colors and went for a vintage look.
Beginning with a white watercolor panel, I added the bird and flowers. This time using shades of Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans. I really like the card just that way but you know what happens when you just keep adding elements and ink! It was playtime and a girl has to have some fun, right! It's all about experimenting and trying new things.
If you'd like you will find all the information and instruction from Dawn at her video HERE, as well as the gorgeous samples I have CASEd.
Thanks so much for visiting today. I want you to know that I really love sharing with you. I hope your day is going to be great!

Wow wowie wow! I love the look of this, love the stamp, love your cards! I watched and bookmarked the video. So easy and I must try. If my efforts are half this successful I'll be happy. Well done, Cindy!
Both cards are so pretty. Your no fail watercolor looks great. Love the background on the 2nd card and those birds look great on both cards. I especially like the blue one (my favorite color).
Cindy, I feel almost like we had a crafty day together! I couldn't agree more about Dawn's teaching skills and her fabulous style!
Now. Let's talk about YOUR style! WOW do I love the colors you chose - isn't it great how mixing those colors up can impact the end result? We had a lot of the same supplies to play with, didn't we? I'm loving that bit of sponging around the edges for an extra bit of vintage!
Thanks so much for stopping by today - and for always leaving your kindness there for me! x

Two lovely cards. I haven't heard of no fail watercolouring before, but the results on your cards are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your card over in the NBUS Challenge this month.
