Color Hues #18 Purple and Teal

Hi, and welcome back to my blog for the next installment of color duos at Color Hues! Purple and Teal brings many things to mind but I decided to go with an abstract background for my card.

I heat embossed the background stamp in white and sponged inks to add color. I die cut the HAPPY and some stars in white and gold foil, and the birthday in a dark purple card stock.

This card was fairly simple to make and will be even easier to give! I can't wait to see the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our terrific team.

Hope you will join us!

This is certainly a stand-out, Cindy! Love the background and the wonderful tone of colors that you blended. It may have been quick but it sure is awesome! Have a great week!

Love this background! I tried a blended background, too - and it totally did NOT look like this! Perfect for the die cut sentiment.

What a fab background stamp Cindy, it doesn't really need anything else to make a great card. Your simple sentiment allows it to shine. :)

This is a very pretty color combo! Your card looks easy, but I can see the creative thought that went into it. Everything is placed just perfectly for balance, and I just love the look of it!

I started off thinking I'd do something similar with a stencil, but couldn't pull off. You certainly did; the ink blending is gorgeous and the design is a classic!
