You're the BEST!

Hello everyone!
I pulled out some spring flowers, inspired to play along with the Create Along With Us Challenge at PTI.  Made my card and alas, missed the chance to share it there. So I'm hopping in to share it as part of the Transformation Tuesday challenge. I hope it's OK with the challenge hosts to make a second card with the leftover part of a first card. It does transform the card layout!
Here's the first card made with the PTI Seasonal Borders Spring stamps and dies, and Penned Elegance.

For the second card, I incorporated the die cut circle from the first card, and added a sentiment from Bold Basics.

I used a new to me technique called Floating Die Cut Frames that Jennifer shared on her blog last week, find her great tutorial HERE

You can get an idea of how the die cut pieces fit together to make a raised panel on the card with the help of Press N Seal to lay it out.

Keeping this short today but I must say it feels good to see bright spring colors and flowers here on the page! It's also good to have two encouragement cards ready to go.

Thanks so much for stopping in. Have a great day! I don't tell you often enough how much you encourage me. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas holiday.

Let It Snow Take Two

I've always loved using one design as a jumping off point for another card.  A few days ago I made a card using the Let It Snow die. Once the supplies are out, it's easy to create two cards for one.
Want to make it even more fun?  Add some brand new supplies that you just got in the mail!

Using the die for today's card, I kept it wrapped in red foil paper and used the same colors and DSP. I changed the layout, making a square card. The scene I created with the Fence Line:Winter stamps and dies, is framed with a circle that has white glitter paper peeking from behind the lattice cut outs.

I'm playing along with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

Also adding this to the Transformation Tuesday challenge at Papertrey Ink.
PTI products used: Fence Line Winter: Stamps set and dies,
Shape Shifters Circle 4 Die, Christmas Cheer Dies, Merry Mug Stamp set and dies.

I'm so glad you came by to visit today. Have a wonderful weekend!

Transformation Tuesday with Papertrey Ink

Hi there, thanks for popping in to see me on Papertrey Tuesday. It's been awhile since I was in sync with my own blog plans I had for posting Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday each week. I'm working on changing that!

I love the Transformation Tuesday Challenge at PTI where we are encouraged to do a remake on a card we have created in the past. There are lots of good reasons to do this. I find it is a tool for increasing my design skills, even if it's just to fine tune what I love and don't like. Not liking the way a card turned out is another option for re-creating it, or changing up the season or colors, for example.

My card today has a layout that I really DID like from one card and using it again for a second card really helps when wondering what to make next.
Here's the first card.

And here's the remake. And the link HERE if you want to see how I made it.

I chose to make my new card in the same layout and even using the same background DSP and die cut white piece. I added vellum on top to mute the brightness and the print a bit for my fall themed card.   I also wanted to give the style an update from elegant to more graphic. Thus, I used less layers, and instead of sequins I added twine and a wooden leaf element at the top.

The supplies are from Papertrey Ink's Mini Market Kit: Color Pop Autumn which was in my stash. The printed die cuts were provided and it feels good to put them on a card!

Thanks for coming by today! It's turned into a beautiful afternoon here and I will be having a time on the lake to fish this evening. Making the most of the nice weather while it lasts.

Remake with In the Meadow

Hello friends, welcome to a new week.
I am enjoying the Transformation Tuesday Challenge to remake one of your past cards.

In this case, I decided to update a card made a few years ago with the In the Meadow stamp set. This is the first set I ordered from Papertrey and I still love it!

Here's the old card and the original post is HERE
And the new card....

I used pretty much the same silhouette image of the girl sledding. I changed the layout and updated the colors and the DSP used. Also included  more current techniques of adding texture by blending inks and using Nuvo drops on the snowflakes.
I'd love to hear what you think about the changes! Thanks for visiting my blog, come back again soon!
