Watercolor Flowers for You

Happy Monday and new month day!

I have a summery and feminine card to share today using the Craft Your Life Kit from Altenew called Watercolor Flowers.

I was inspired to organize all my stamps and dies over the weekend. I'm loving the results, including finding supplies I've not used in a long time. And finding all my supplies much more easily. My single use dies are in alphabetical order. Thank you to my friend Leslie for the inspiration!

Here's today's card.

I began with white card stock, die cutting the floral spray and then using the 3D folder to emboss it. Using Altenew inks and the kit stencils I added color to these pretty flowers. I really like the look of the florals using just the stencils. I skipped the outline I could have obtained with the stamp set.

For the background, I embossed a pale blush card stock using the Altenew Raised Sentiments folder, tapping the raised text lightly with a white ink pad. The bouquet is popped up. I added Rose Gold gems and embossing to the sentiment.

The challenge at The Paper Players caught my eye, with a lovely tic tac toe board. I chose Die Cut, Stenciling and Layers.

Beautiful, Cindy! The lack of an outline on the gorgeous flowers adds to the softness and femininity. Of course, the rose gold gems are the perfect finishing detail. What a great embossing folder, too. I love it all. Thank you for playing with The Paper Players this week!

Using just the stencil sans stamp gives the dainty flowers a beautiful watercolor look, along with the soft, delicate colors. Such a beautiful card design, Cindy. I especially love layering the flowers over the embossed layer and letting it peek out. Thank you so much for joining us at the Paper Players, it's always a pleasure to see your card in the gallery!

I could have sworn you'd watercolored these flowers yourself. What a beautiful look with just the stencils, and no stamped outline. Gorgeous! Love the soft blush embossed background. It's amazing the difference that little bit of white ink makes. You accomplished a lot with your stamps and dies over the weekend. It continues to be a fun process for me with a long way to go yet!

Beautiful, Cindy! The effect of the stencils without the outlines creates such a wonderful watercolour look. The soft blush (and embossing) of the card front is perfect. Love this card! Thanks for sharing with us at The Paper Players.

I always seem to have "aha" moments from your posts, Cindy, which I really appreciate. I've got a couple of dies and stencils sets, but not the stamps, and they sort of stymie my creativity. Thank you for showing me how wonderful watercolored, no-line, images look! The pretty bouquet and your embossed background make a terrific design! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
