Flora and Fauna 3 for Color Hues

Hello and I am sure glad to be back from my short break. Glad you are back too! I hope things are going well for you.

It was my turn to pick our combo for Color Hues, and I invite you to check them out on the blog and play along!

Lime Green and Aqua can be bold and vibrant or pastel-y and summery. Which do you prefer? When I picked these shades I had bold in mind, but the pretty butterflies in the Flora and Fauna 3 stamps (new from WPlus9) were really fun to do using light sponging.

My slimline card measures 3-1/4 by 8-1/4". Images were stamped in light gray ink, and the sentiment was embossed in white on Basic Gray card stock. I added a few gems for sparkle.

I can't wait to see your projects in the gallery. Thanks so very much, I appreciate you stopping by. Hope you're having a great summer!

Be yourself.

And here you are again Cindy (yep, I'm working backwards this morning!). A pretty delicate Butterfly creation and very pleasing colour palette. Thanks so much for sharing a second creation with us at We Love Chocolate Baroque July challenge.

Cindy, I am so glad you went a different direction than the rest of us. You showed us the colors could be soft instead of bold but turn out just as lovely! Loving the butterflies too. I definitely need a postage stamp die now that I have seen this card. Awesome Colors for the challenge and card! Take care!

Those butterflies are so pretty Cindy, wish we had more colourful ones, ours are mainly brown or dull orange, though there are plenty of them. I just goes to show that the colours don't always need to be vibrant to work. :)

What a beautiful group of butterflies and I love the background you've created with the uncolored flower at the bottom.

What a beautiful card - love the soft, pretty shading that gives your butterflies that translucent look.

I love the lighter softer shades of aqua and lime you showcased here Cindy. I'm warming up to the slimline format now and your butterflies are working the space beautifully! Vicky x
