Skinny Cards Times Two with SSS 2020 July Card Kit

Hello crafting friends!
I've been blogging for over ten years. During that time I've seen trends come and go without batting an eye. But I'm announcing right now that I'm jumping onto the slim cards bandwagon! Slim cards usually measure 3.5 x 8.5" and can be mailed in a business size envelope.

I have two cards to share. For the first, I used the papers that came with the kit. I cut out the images and stamped the sentiment. A twine bow adds to the happy mail theme.

For the second card, I stamped the home images, colored with Copics, cut them out and and used the dies included in the kit to create postage stamps. All are popped up for dimension.

I love the Home Sweet Home stamp set, all the images are unique and so fresh! For the inside, I'll stamp the sentiment that says, "No matter how far apart, you're always in my heart."  It's hard to photograph the larger size cards. Especially on a rainy day.

Supplies used are the Simon Says Card kit from July 2020, plus the Slim Braided Circles Die (Pinkfresh Studio.) I share the link with a wink and shout of enabling alert! Hope you enjoyed or got inspired by my cards today.

I don't know if I'll be blogging any more this week, but have a Happy 4th if you're in the USA!

I love your Skinny Cards, and I think I'll jump on, too! Please tell me how you, most efficiently, cut your card stock to make them. Thank you!

Yes, now that they're calling them "slimline" they're a trend. I love how things come around with a new look to make them fun all over again. You aced the designs with cute things from the kit. Those houses are super adorable and I always love the "happy mail" theme. Keep on having fun, Cindy! I'm loving it!

Marla,
I score the long side of an 8.5" x 11" card stock at 3.5" and fold along that line. Then I cut along that long side through both thicknesses leaving me with an 11" side fold card. Cut along the bottom at 8.5" and you're done!
