It's time for a TWOFER!

It's time for a new challenge at Twofer! I am thrilled to be the guest designer for this month at this fun and intriguing card challenge hosted by Darnelle
We are asked to create two different cards for two different occasions using the same stamps, stencils or dies.

Our theme for this month's challenge is flowers! I chose to use the Bouquet Builder 6 stamps from Waffle Flower for my cards.

Using flower images for two different occasions came easily. I chose a birthday and an encouragement greeting. A different way to use the images? I began with stamping on designer series paper.

For the card above I stamped the floral spray directly onto the brick patterned paper and heat embossed in white. I added color with markers on the leaves. I wanted a bolder look for the flowers so they were embossed on colored card stock, cut out and adhered over the first stamping.

For the second card, I used patterned paper with a subtle design, and stamped the floral spray multiple times to create a background. I also added some distressing to the panel with a faint stripe.

The gold accent strip and trim on the die cut plus a few white gel pen highlights were the only embellishment needed.

I sure hope that you will check out the Twofer Card Challenge and play along with us! It's really fun thinking of new ways to use your stamps, and inspiring to see what others create!

I am glad that you came by today. Happy Mother's Day greetings!

Thank you for being our Guest Designer, Cindy! I love your two distinctly different designs using your flower prompt! The aqua and gold look stunning with the white encouragement card and I'm incredibly inspired by how you use AND make pp! That subtle brick paper looks like a stencil and I love the postage border and how you raised the front panel. I also love that you simply white heat-embossed the flowers on colored card and cut them out, rather than coloring them! Genius step!! Take care and stay safe! Hugs, Darnell

These are both gorgeous, Cindy ... the soft grey pp and delicate green leaves make for a lovely subtle background for the pop of vibrant pink on your pretty dimensional blooms! The colour palette on your second card is beautiful ... tone on tone elegance ... and a fabulous gold dipped sentiment ... delicious! Thanks so much for inspiring our players as our Guest Designer at Twofer! Anita :)

Oh, I like these! You know... as much as I love the colors of beautiful flowers I do believe my favorite is the blue card with no coloring at all. I feel like I want to CASE this one to some degree. Love the chunky word dies, which are perfect against the background. Congratulations on your guest spot, Cindy!

How creative to use that stamp as a background stamp for the one card and it as the focal point on the other! Both are gorgeous.

Congratulations on being the guest designer. Your cards are so pretty. I really like how you made your own background by stamping the flower image over and over. The colors you used for the flowers are lovely and I love the double frames.
