Spring Animals for the Twofer Card Challenge

Hello, welcome to my blog today! I hope the day is going well for you.
Since my last post I got into some other activities. Like, sitting around too much. After a few days of having NO schedule, I'm trying to structure my time during the days so that life can "feel" a bit more normal again. I intend to  include a daily crafting session again.

The Twofer Card Challenge gave me a quick jumpstart. Darnelle hosts this fab challenge where we use the same images to make two different card designs for two different occasions. The challenge theme is Spring Animals. I chose the images from the Woodland Critters stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh.

For my first project a welcome new baby card was needed. I created a softly blended ink background for my scene and added a bow and sentiment banner in pink and sequins. The animals were colored with Copics and the card base and scene were splattered with white paint and Distress Oxide inks.

I created a tall card - turned on its side - for my second project and intend to send it for encouragement or to say "I miss you."

This time the critters were added with foam tape onto circle windows backed with green patterned paper. This card measures 3.5 x 8".

Here's a glimpse of my cards together.

I get totally intense and focused when I'm making cards. The process settles me and often leads me to pray. I firmly believe that God hears our prayers and He is the answer to every crisis. I encourage everyone to turn to Him for wholeness, health and life.

This is a time for sending hugs! From a safe distance that is. I'm sending hugs to you today! Thanks so much for your visit.

These adorable little critters are perfect for the challenge as they all look like spring babies. So cute! What delightful cards, and you know how I feel about your design skills -- stellar! Glad to see you playing in this fun challenge, Cindy. These are unusual times, for sure.

These are both wonderfully sweet and charming, Cindy ... your new baby card is so pretty for a little girl ... it's sure to be treasured by her Mum and Dad! Your hug card is a delight ... you've framed those cute critters wonderfully against the fun PP! Echoing you ... He is, indeed, the answer. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)

Two FABULOUS cards Cindy! I really like the design of your "tall" card on it's side...I've been seeing quite a few of these lately and really think I need to try one! I was so glad you mentioned about your card making time leading to prayer...it does for me too! When we're quiet enough to hear His voice, it's amazing the conversations we have!! I trust in Him implicitly and it will all work out despite the craziness we're seeing and living right now. Stay safe and enjoy that quiet time! Hugs. :0)

What a sweet pair of cards, Cindy! I love your inked and speckled background for your animals on your baby girl card! Your slim line card is a great design with the three circles, and I love the paper and twine! Thank you for sharing your testimony of prayer! He is all we ever need! Thanks for joining in on the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

I love your whole crew of spring animals from PPP, Cindy! That baby card design is so dreamy! I love your soft coloring and if it's for a baby girl born around Easter, that gorgeous frame could represent a beautiful Easter egg! I also love how you schplattered white dots on the kraft card base to add even more interest. And what a great idea to make a long narrow card design with three fun apertures for your animals to play in and your sentiment to shine! This hug in an envelope will certainly cheer the recipient!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #25! Take care and hugs back to you!! Darnell
