Gentle Thoughts with Pinkfresh

Hello, happy June! It sure has been a while since my last post. I'm on again and off again with stamping as we're having gorgeous weather and quite a few activities. I did pull out the Magnificent Magnolia suite from Pinkfresh Studio and inks from Altenew for a creative session  this weekend.

I am smitten with these gorgeous florals. I stamped in pale gray ink and used the stencils to fill in pastel shades of yellow, pink and green. The die cut bouquet is a lovely size for a focal point on a card. I layered foam tape behind it for dimension and mounted it on The Classy Frames die from Penny Black. For the card base I used the stand alone cut Sparkling Diamonds (PF) on C&9th card stock. Nectar. It's my favorite of their colors, although it's sure hard to pick just ONE.

That's it for me today. I'm entering several challenges, listed below. Thanks so much for coming round to visit me!

With Love Going Postal

Hello! It's nice to be back again so soon with one more card to post. I did have some time to stamp over the weekend, and I made this card for the  DD challenge asking us to use RED. I didn't have trouble playing along as I love any shade of red. Here you go!

Waffle Flower's collection of Postal Collage stamps, dies and stencils made this so easy to create. It's fun putting in the small images from stamps you own already as I did HERE, but nothing beats their pretty rose stencil. I used Distress Oxide inks. There are some gorgeous samples at the challenge blog  HERE and a wonderful Mood Board too.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope to see you soon.

Be Inspired for The Flower Challenge

Hello, how are things going for you?  For me, it's going to be a busy month for challenge posts, and I'm here to share the new one at The Flower Challenge #94. We'd like you to be inspired by these colors when you create your card featuring flowers. Aren't they beautiful hues? You may also add neutrals.

I chose to use supplies from The Greetery and Altenew to create this Anniversary card. The supplies are listed at the end of this post.

The bulk of the flowers are done using the Floral Arches stencils. Details are added with the accompanying stamps. The Arched Sentiment set of stamps and dies provide the greeting. Finally, the A2 arches die cut the sentiment panel. You can find out about all of these elements HERE

We hope that you will be encouraged to join us in the challenge! Thank you for your visit today, let's do this again soon!

Watercolor Birthday for The Flower Challenge

Hello! Happy 4th of July to those in the USA!

Time for another theme for you at The Flower Challenge! For this month you'll have an opportunity to build up the birthday cards in your stash as you play along.

Make a birthday card featuring flowers. How easy is that! I'm featuring a new-to-me set called Watercolor Flowers by Altenew. For this card I used the stamps, stencil and dies.

Summery colors worked well even though I took creative liberty and made blue leaves. The Altenew colors are Blue Horizon, Maple Yellow, Honey Drizzle, and Green Field. The pinks are Concord & 9th  Carnation.

For the sentiment, I used the small font "wishing you a beautiful day" included with the stamp kit. I did however, cut off the word "day" and added a die cut Birthday in black with a shadow layer in white.

I stepped the design up a bit, by partially die cutting the top of the floral spray, centering it on the card front, and adding pink pearls.

There you have it! Wishing you a beautiful day, and heartfelt thanks for your visit. Please be sure to check out the fabulous inspiration from the team!

Color Hues: Hope Your Day is HAPPY

Welcome to Color Challenge #89, can you believe it? It's amazing how the months fly by and so do the color combos! Our delightful hostess Marcia has chosen sage and pink for us to use this time around.

Pink flowers are the sweetest! I chose a pale pink and a medium pink for this floral card, along with gray greens. I tried lots of pinks to find the ones I wanted to use for stenciling.

The above photo shows the truer hues of the blooms. The photo below shows the front details from a better angle including the gold embossed sentiment and gold Liquid Pearls accenting the stamen.

Creating this was easy and enjoyable. I'm liking to stencil more and more these days. Using the Bold Bouquet stamp and stencils from Altenew that are brand new stuff! Not yet been used. I will love trying this softly falling bouquet in other combos.
The supply list is extensive so I will add it below. Please do play along with these gorgeous hues. I will love seeing your cards in our gallery.

I can't thank you enough for your visit today.  It means so much that you keep coming by!

The Flower Challenge: Reminder

Hi friends, it's me again with a reminder for The Flower Challenge! Please use our sketch and upload your card to the gallery before the end of the month.

I took some liberty with the sketch, not on purpose but I didn't remember more than the vertical panel when I made this card. I thought you'd still like to see it!

I was able to use some new-to-me supplies and that was an interesting challenge in itself!  I couldn't wait to pair the brand new Altenew Elegant Tulips stamps, die and stencils with metallic looking patterned papers from Consortium called Patina. I chose one pattern for the vase, then striped the darker lines from the stencil using teal ink. The other pattern is used on the sides of the focal panel, and on the envelope.

Pleased to find a foil teal paper in my stash, I cut thin strips to finish out the sketch. I love those tulips, and I used red and green inks to color them.

As always, your visit is what makes blogging so much fun! Thanks for coming by today. I've loved having you!

The Flower Challenge #91 Reminder

Just a note to say hello, crafty friends, and a quick card post too!

It's mid-month and time to remind you of our invitation for you to join us at The Flower Challenge, and color your flowers this month using the medium of your choice.

I chose soft pastels and stencils for my card this time, keeping things very simple.

I really love the Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Meadow Breeze. For my first time using it, I experimented with only two colors: pink and yellow and gray as the neutral. After stamping and coloring the line drawing, I die cut the whole grouping out using the one die they provide and masking paper. Using the die cut as a mask, I then inked the solid trailing vines stamp in pale gray ink.

After stamping the sentiment, sponging lightly with yellow ink in the top corner added balance and a soft effect.  I love how this turned out! I die cut the panel to be smaller than A2 size, and used a rectangle of fun foam to add dimension.

I hope you're having fun with this challenge and feeling inspired to join us! Our gallery is filling up with beautiful florals! Thanks for visiting with me today.

Roses are pretty in peach!

Greetings to you on this Wednesday!

Here I am with another card using Peach and green - or is it a rosy peach? Either way, you can't go wrong with a great stencil and roses!

If you love these colors, I'm still hosting the Color Hues challenge using them. It's just getting started over there, so please join the crafty party!

Using the Rose Background Stencil Duo from Waffle Flower made this card so easy to create! I began with white card stock and enjoyed lightly sponging the background.

The sentiments and die cut are from Concord & 9th.

I'm happy to have a few posts going this week, and one more tomorrow. See you soon and let's do it again! Have a great day.

Beautiful Birthday for The Flower Challenge

Hi there, thanks for coming to visit!

Today my card is for The Flower Challenge, where for October, Anything Goes! We are also happily celebrating the 7th Birthday of the challenge where flowers are always the main feature. My flowers decorate a cake, that's a sweet mix!

I knew when I saw the Takes the Cake line from The Greetery that it would be used often for a variety of occasions and cards. I love that there are dies for the cakes, decorations, cake stand and flowers. The stamps sentiments and dies perfectly fit the banner. And the best - the dies cut out the entire floral design outline and there's a stencil for the flowers. I inked my flowers with Distress Inks in fall colors. A few pearls seemed just right.

Please visit the blog to see what the design team has created to inspire you. Sadly, the challenge creators, Vivien and Aileen will be leaving. How we appreciate their years of inviting us to share creatively together!

See you soon, I will be creating over this weekend! Looking forward to having some time to play.

A Happy Hello for Color Hues #68

Hello, it's mid-month and time for a new duo at Color Hues! Our wonderful leader, Nancy, has chosen Olive and Berry for Challenge #68 and I love how these look with a floral vibe.

Betsy's stamps from The Greetery are some of my favorites, and I pulled out the Print Shop Fresh Floral stencils and stamps to create a background for my card front. The white heat embossed sentiment was trimmed by hand - I didn't want it taking up too much space. It's an old one from PTI. For a bit more dimension, I added two die cut butterflies topped with enamel dots and spritzed with a shimmer pen.

I hope you will love this combo, be sure to join us to play along if you can!

The Color Hues #45 with Altenew Fragrant Florals

Hello, hope you're having a happy Saturday. After a few cards without florals, I think it's time to bring some flowers back! I'm using my new  Craft Your Life Fragrant Florals Kit from Altenew, and it has endless possibilities which I hope to explore in future posts.

Today's card features our challenge at The Color Hues to use Peach and Gray. I stamped the image in dark gray ink, and used the layering stencils to sponge in warm gray and peachy hues with a hint of coral. I made the berries a bit darker and added shine and detail with a dab of Glossy Accents.

A simple card with sweet colors! I hope you will check out all the fab DT cards for inspiration and join us!

I will be entering this card at NBUS - never been used Schtuff, where we're encouraged to use what we buy!
