Saying Thanks with flowers

Hello, happy winter! I hope those of you who celebrate have had a wonderful Christmas. With the holiday a very busy time at our house, I took a break from blogging. I'm back with a floral thank you card in springy colors.

With two new paper packs waiting to be used I was really happy to combine this pastel blue with a stamped panel I had sitting around.

I can't even remember details of how I stamped it, but I know that I used the Blooms Fill In stamps from Concord and 9th. I added details with colored pencils and some white Nuvo drops.

I'm absolutely loving the new dies I got, made by Lawnfawn. HERE is the link. They have several sizes of rectangles with double lines of just stitching to accent a panel.

I can't wait to get back into card making. It makes my days feel 'back to normal' whatever that means. Many thanks to my friends at Freshly Made Sketches for giving me a challenge to play along with!

Warm hugs to you all who are the best encouragers out there. I appreciate you!

Warm Wishes

Hello everyone! I've been in the midst of holiday preparations and it's been a pleasant busyness. Fitting in some time in the craft room today was a great break. I had time to make this clean and simple card.

It will be nice to have one in my stash that could be for any winter occasion.
I pulled out the My Favorite Things Winter Warmth stamps and used DSP from Lawn Fawn. Both have been around for a long while. Even the sketch at CAS(E) This is a retro.

Enjoy your day!

Sending Love at Christmas

Sharing quickly today in between errands. The day is speeding by! Hope you don't mind more Christmas cards as I'm still working on them through the end of this week. And maybe longer! Christmas is my very favorite time to stamp, and I'm trying to use many of the lovelies I've acquired for the season.

A simple card that started with the Sketch at FMS this week. I had trouble visualizing this at first, but those gorgeous samples from the talented DT were a wonderful help.

Featured is some great DSP (Stampin' Up! Wrapped in Plaid)  my older dies (retired from Impression Obsession,  and a sweet sentiment from The Greetery (embossed in white.)
That's it for me today! Sending hugs your way.

A Happy Heart

In my kitchen hangs a sign that says, "Joyfulness is a happy heart."  And Scripture tells us that a happy heart is good medicine.

Coloring this snowman yesterday was good medicine for me. I think he illustrates a happy heart with his cheery face and arms bursting with gifts, and that makes me smile!

Here are just a few details. I colored using Copic markers, adding texture with the colorless blender and a white gel pen. Masking the snowman image, I blended Distress Oxide inks and added spatters of white paint. Lastly, the snowflakes were added with a stencil and glitter paste.

What makes this card even more fun is the pop up interactive feature. The arms and gifts are a second layer assembled on a spring.

Playing along with the snowman fun at The Paper Players!

May your day be filled with Light and Love and a cheerful heart. All good gifts. Your visits are a gift to me, thank you!

Greetings with Robins and Wren for Christmas

Welcome to a new week! And a new month, can you believe it's already December? I guess in states where you're having tremendous snowstorms, it's easier to believe, hope you're staying warm.

I'm sharing a quick CASE with the Robin and Wren set from The Greetery today. It's no secret that I am a fan of Betsy Veldman's designs, so what better compliment than to case her card. (You will find hers HERE. Allow time to watch her three fabulous how to videos!) In case the term CASE is new to you as a verb - it means to copy a sample exactly.

Instead of the gorgeous watercolor technique that Betsy used, I just lightly blended inks for the background and did some second generation stamping with the pine branches from With Love at Christmas. The sentiment is from the Tree Trimmings Stamp set.

This card is sure to go to someone special. Thanks so much for your visit today!
