Three Cards for You

Cards for encouraging friends are so important. Awhile back I was sent a lovely set of stamps and dies and asked to be a Guest Designer for Technique Tuesday. I created three projects with the lovely Bowl Bouquet stamps and dies.

All the images were colored with Zig markers.

For the first card, after stamping and coloring the image, I used a mask over the bouquet and around the card edges and inked a rectangular background.

The second card involved partial die cutting, so that I could create texture and slip in a pale aqua panel of DSP behind the vase.

The third card is more traditional, using a tag and die cut sentiment. A white rectangle was inked in pale pink and assembled onto a pale gray card front. Easy to color and with beautiful sentiments, this is a fabulous set. You can see my cards and find the supplies on the Technique Tuesday site HERE

I'd sure love to know if you have a favorite! My first card was my favorite but then I made the second and it holds the title.

I really appreciate your visit to my blog today! Thanks so much! I plan to be back tomorrow posting just a few thoughts to round out the week.

Just a Note with Bigger Blooms

Hello, welcome back!
I've been finding a good rhythm in my craft room! Using one set of products three ways is becoming easier and I am finding it a fun challenge. Today's card came together with a few already inked Bigger Blooms that I made into a card instead of just putting them away. I

I wasn't even planning to make a card, but it was so satisfying adding accent to the blooms with colored pencils and a white gel pen. I paired them with a striped panel of DSP and a sentiment from the Opposites Attract set. All stamps and dies are from The Greetery. I kept the colors and layout simple.

I hope you're doing well, thanks so much for stopping by!

Season of Chic Part 2

 Hello again!

Just a very quick post and a very simple card today. It does show how versatile the Season of Chic stamps and dies are as this card features the wash of color stamps and flower dies.

Stamping in bright Altenew inks suggest a flower bouquet. I love these flower dies, how they have a whimsical texture all their own with just the outline of the flower.

This thank you card came together in about 15 minutes!

Hope you week is going well. I so appreciate your kind comments and visits this week!

Three for One: Season of Chic from Stampin' Up!

Oh, I can hardly believe that June is almost over, can you? June is my birthday month, and our dear new little grand made her entrance to the world last weekend! What a delight and such a happy time! God in His goodness helped me get better (even though vaxxed I had a rough stint with COVID)  just in time for my husband and I to help with the older children. You can bet I'm still smiling!

I really enjoyed being able to focus on one stamp set last week, and you seemed to like it too! Three cards coming up this week using the Season of Chic stamps and dies from Stampin' Up! If you missed it, you can find my first card made with it HERE

My second card is a clean and elegant thank you.

I began by embossing white card stock with the Seashells 3D embossing folder. I love the clean texture this gives! Using the die that looks like a grid, I cut that out of the embossed piece for even more texture. The shell on the left was die cut directly from the patterned paper, it was a perfect fit! The pink shell was die cut from the pink/gold paper and I stamped it to add the shell detail.

Every once in awhile this happens - I was positively thrilled with how this turned out!

Thanks so much for popping in! I've loved having you visit.

One Set, Three Ways: The Greetery Print Shop Daisy Days day 3

Hi there!

Well, today I'm back with the third card using Print Shop Daisy Days! This ensemble of stamps, stencils and dies is so much fun to play with as there are so many options. Today is all about layers, layers and more layers!

I began by choosing my color palette. Using WPlus9 inks, I sponged in hues of pastels in aqua and peach using the stencil. I die cut it, and also quite a few extra flowers for layering. Before placing the die cut, I  sponged and splattered ink in aqua on a rectangle cut with the Postal Frames Die. I wanted to provide a splash of color behind the daisies image. Then I layered daisies and more daisies over top, placing the panel on a pale yellow card base.

It was hard to get a good photo. In real life, it's an explosion of soft colors! Adding a hand cut sentiment and a bow wraps it up.

I'd love it if you'd care to share some feedback. Do you enjoy this feature? Do you have a favorite of the cards I've shared this week? I would love hearing from you!

It's a trio of Daisy Days! featuring The Greetery

Hello,  I'm finding myself quarantined in the craft room so I'm making the best of it! In the heat of summer is when I really don't mind doing a little extra stamping. I'd like to focus on one set of supplies this week and make at least three cards with it to stretch myself and get more use out of one set.

My focus this week is from The Greetery: the Print Shop Daisy Days stamps, die cuts and stencils.

I used Distress inks in tumbled glass, broken china, peacock feathers, mowed lawn and cracked pistachio to fill in the stencils. I partially die cut the large image on the left side, and slid an aqua panel underneath the die cut parts.

A few extra flowers were die cut for dimension and layered on top. The sentiment is from the Comforting Commands stamp set. These daisies will surely bring someone a smile!

This is a new set, so I will be entering this at NBUS

I'll be back tomorrow with day 2 of Daisy Days. Hope you will visit again!
