Hey, hey! Happy Saturday! It's time for our new challenge at Color Hues, friends! Let's give it a go for red and orange this time.
I'll bet you thought I would do florals. And, yes I did. And maybe you thought that I might include an ink blended background or bold stripes. I did think of that , but will save it for next time.
I tried something I've been wanting to do with this combo. I made a template using stamp images that I have on hand for a turn about card. How fun is that!
Combining images from a couple or three sets works well for this. I chose mostly solid images. Choosing the ink colors makes all the difference. I used Pale Tomato and Orange Soda (SSS) combined with Wild Mango and Warm Wool (WPlus 9.) I don't know why the red has a pinkish vibe. It really is a soft red.

Hello. stamping friends!
Every once in awhile my mind draws a complete blank for a card. When I think about it for awhile, the ideas start flowing. I usually write myself some prompts for the upcoming challenges of possible stamps and supplies to use. Every once in awhile, I come up with something crazy! And I love it.
The challenge today is Inspired By.... Happy Retirement. I only let myself make cards I can actually send, and retirement is not happening to anyone I know this year. What inspired me in our photo was the bright shiny silver and that pop of a green jewel.
Inspiration can take many twists and turns, you think?
See that shiny silver? The inside says, "Hope your day is a wild ride!" I will use this for a summer birthday. I thought this paper (from Waffle Flower) added some direction to the theme, if you will pardon the pun. The die is from Spellbinders, called Truckin' Through the Seasons.
I'd better quit writing and let you get to thinking of how our photo inspires YOU!

Hello crafty friends, how are you doing?
You know I've been keeping to my two challenges that come around weekly and bi-weekly. Today I just wanted to play for fun with the Weekly Challenge at Waffle Flower and hope that you're glad to see an extra post this week!
The challenge is called Color Crush. I like so many shades of pink and red, I went with red!
This card is simply designed and crisply colored with a Red Zig marker and a blender pen. I also added just a hint of color to the leaves.
Waffle Flower has become a favorite company of mine in 2020. I absolutely love their variety of styles and images. And the dies come already separated and in a folder with a magnetic panel that is stored in the pocket with the stamps! As if that's not enough to love - I recently won a gift card, so I encourage you to play along!
I've used the Bouquet Builder 6 stamps and dies, Sweet sentiments, and my paper is from the Modern Neutrals Pad. I love the subtle hint of circles on this one.
I thank you for stopping by today, and will be back again on Thursday! Unless I get itchy to do more 'just because' stamping, lol! Hope it's a great day.

Hello hello!
Today a new Inspired By Challenge is rolling out and the theme is Celebration! I couldn't think of any better way to celebrate than with a Garden Party. The bird and mice images in this set from Hello Bluebird are the perfect way to sing in a birthday!
Add a violin and a ukulele and I will be tapping my feet.
I used a sponged background made with pale blue ink and gold spatters, and colored with Copics. I kept this design fairly simple so that the characters steal the show. I did add a bowtie to the mouse as a nod to the dogs in our photo. I was inspired by the theme, the pastels, and the animals.
We sure hope that you will have fun with this challenge. Thanks so much for your visit today! I am loving all the comments too.

I can't believe we are in mid April already, can you? I hope your days are going well. Ready for a new challenge at Color Hues?
It's time for Yellow and Gray. These colors are very popular together but my true confession? I am not a fan of gray. I know, I know, call me crazy! For those of you playing along here's my tip for when you find a difficult combo. Use TONS of white! That's what I did here, also using a bold contrasting die for the sentiment.
Daisies in sunny yellow make me happy. So does your visit. Thanks for joining me!

Hi friends, happy Thursday!
We have another wonderful spring theme and challenge for you today at Inspired By! I am loving all florals right now, especially those images I can paint with watercolors.
That is exactly what I did for today's card. I was inspired by the colors in the photo, and the texture in the tissue wrap. The designer paper added a linen texture, and I used an oval dressed up with a die. The bouquet was stamped on water color paper, colored and die cut.
Of course, I had to wrap the blooms in a ribbon bow.
What will inspire you this week? I hope your days will be wrapped in smiles and a happy heart.
You will be WOWed by the gorgeous samples of our team. Thanks so much for coming by!
