CAS Butterflies

Hello, hope things are going well for you today!

I'm posting a quick share for two challenges today. Tic Tac Toe has a wonderful grid where I chose to use CAS, Metallic and Word die cut. The Paper Players are asking for a CAS Get Well card.

I am back to crafting a little bit each day, just when and as I can. It's helping me to work through my stash of supplies and I enjoy trying new things out with the challenges.

Today's card is a CAS slimline measuring 3-1/4" by 8". I got a new slimline folder from Spellbinders, and paired it up with the butterfly die cuts, also from Spellbinders and never been used.  Needing to use up some patterned paper, I chose the pretty Gradient Card stock from Altenew in shades of raspberry and topped the butterflies with a layer of vellum and silver foil for the bodies. The blue card stock, sentiment and die are from PTI. Yes, I really did mix it up this time, I truly scrambled to find a word die that fit.

This is the kind of get well card I would need for someone having a long stage illness. I hope I won't need it soon!

Adding this also to NBUS as we are almost wrapping up the month.

Sending a hug and a prayer for you today. See you in a day or two!

Winter Sparrow Get Well

Hello crafting friends! Today I am sharing a get well card made with the Winter Sparrow stamp set from WPlus9.  I love the pudgy birds and versatile images in this set. I inked them in fall shades using Distress Oxide and Altenew inks.

Using my MISTI, I sponged ink with daubers onto the stamps, blending ink colors and layers. While arranging the die cut pieces, I was inspired with the sketch at Freshly Made.

After getting ahead on some of my work for design teams, it was fun to create just for the joy of the process.
I hope you are doing well and I thank you so much for your visit!

Pretty Papers Get Well

Birdsong. Isn't that a sweet word? Singing birds are one of my favorite sounds in the mornings. The gorgeous paper pack of mintaypapers I used for today's card is called birdsong - - and I just love it!

I needed a get well card and thought these feminine colors and vintage images were soothing and made a pretty combination. For a focal point, I inked a rose in several layers of colors and surrounded it with subtly stamped leaves.

I trimmed the scripty sentiment with scissors along the curved lines, and used a die to cut the thin strip of the second phrase. Sequins and Nuvo drops are the simple embellishments.

Freshly Made Sketches provided the layout inspiration for this design. After all my cute critter cards, it feels good to make something a bit fancy today.  You can be pretty sure I will be back with another post tomorrow. I find it hard to concentrate on many activities lately, how about you? But stamping holds my attention and using my hands to create is better than staring at my phone.

I am so glad that you keep coming back! Have a great day!

Get Well Gang

Hello,  welcome to a new week and a brand new month!

I had such a wonderful weekend. A happy surprise when our 4th grandchild was born Saturday - a sweet baby girl! I love being a Mimi - it's one of life's greatest blessings. I don't do photos of the little ones for privacy's sake, but just had to tell you the news!

On another topic, I've needed and found a great new (to me) set for get well wishes, the Get Well Gang from WPlus9 Designs. I find these critters to be adorable and the sentiments are just what I need for someone recovering from surgery or an accident.

I got busy creating, coloring the animals with Copics and using the matching die cuts. I was playing with the sketch at MOJO but I'm posting too late to enter the challenge.

Isn't the sketch cute? For my take on it I pulled out these dies; the WPlus9 Clear Cut Stackers: Hexagon dies, and Bold Banner and Basic Labels Dies. I sponged the sentiment and hexagon panels with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide ink, and surrounded them with Nuvo drops.

Hope your day will be delightful.
