Hi, and welcome back to my blog for the next installment of color duos at Color Hues! Purple and Teal brings many things to mind but I decided to go with an abstract background for my card.
I heat embossed the background stamp in white and sponged inks to add color. I die cut the HAPPY and some stars in white and gold foil, and the birthday in a dark purple card stock.
This card was fairly simple to make and will be even easier to give! I can't wait to see the wonderful inspiration from the rest of our terrific team.
Hope you will join us!

ReplyDeleteThis is certainly a stand-out, Cindy! Love the background and the wonderful tone of colors that you blended. It may have been quick but it sure is awesome! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLove this background! I tried a blended background, too - and it totally did NOT look like this! Perfect for the die cut sentiment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab background stamp Cindy, it doesn't really need anything else to make a great card. Your simple sentiment allows it to shine. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty color combo! Your card looks easy, but I can see the creative thought that went into it. Everything is placed just perfectly for balance, and I just love the look of it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your warm welcome and kind words. Love the blended background paired with stars ... festive indeed.
ReplyDeleteI started off thinking I'd do something similar with a stencil, but couldn't pull off. You certainly did; the ink blending is gorgeous and the design is a classic!
ReplyDeleteYour background is fabulous Cindy!
